Using rumi

Rumi is free to use. You can ask questions anonymously, browse and search notes from rumi, and join the First Edit waitlist. You don't need an account to use the core features of the site.

General information, not advice

Everything rumi shares is general information only — not medical, legal, or professional advice. Rumi is not a substitute for speaking with a doctor, parent, guardian, or other trusted adult.

Ask rumi is AI-powered

Ask rumi is an automated tool that uses AI and safety rules we've built, not a human professional. Its answers are generated by technology and, while we work hard to make them accurate and age-appropriate, they may not always be exactly right for your situation. We may limit or end a chat, or withhold a general answer, where a safety risk is identified — in that case, we'll point you to Kids Helpline or emergency services instead.

Be kind, be honest

Please don't submit anything intended to harass, harm, or mislead others. We may lightly edit questions for spelling, grammar or to remove identifying details before they're shared.

Changes

We may update these terms as rumi grows. We'll update the date at the top of this page when we do.
